Health NZ is reporting 31 Covid-19 deaths in New Zealand in the week ending Sunday night. None are from Tairāwhiti.
There are 15 active cases in the district and a total of 2618 across the country.
The total number of Tairāwhiti deaths stands at 44 while the national tally is 3944.
Health NZ says 152 Covid patients were in hospitals on Sunday night.
Of the deaths reported in the week up to Sunday night, one was from Northland, eight from Auckland, three from Waikato, two from Bay of Plenty, one from Hawke’s Bay, one was from Manawatū, five from Wellington, two were from Nelson Marlborough, five were from Canterbury and three were from Otago-Southland.
Two were aged under 10, one was in their 30s, one was in their 50s, five were in their 70s, 10 were in their 80s and 12 were aged over 90. Of these people, 13 were women and 18 were men.
