Kiwa Pools cafe owner-operator wanted

1 min read

An opportunity has arisen to run a cafe in a prime spot in Gisborne.

The cafe at Kiwa Pools needs a new owner-operator.

The  council is looking for someone who is whānau-focused and has a strong interest in coffee. The cafe is a go-to for children (and their caregivers) during any visit to the pool complex, the council said.

Kiwa Pools aquatic manager Campbell Macgregor says he’s looking forward to hearing who’s out there and been thinking about a new venture in hospitality.

Macgregor said on a busy day, more than 800 people go through the Kiwa doors.

Those interested in running the cafe, with naming rights, can lodge their expression of interest with the council online at www.gdc.govt.nz/council/public-notices/council-notices/kiwa-pools-cafe-operator  by 5pm on Friday, June 21.
