The first shot shows the beach clean-up at Waikanae Beach late last month as contractors made good progress. But after the weekend rain, the main city beachfront was once again heavily coated with woody debris. Contractors Siteworx Civil only completed the latest debris removal operation of a frustrating summer late last week. At that point the beach from the Cut to past Midway looked good . . . not any more.  A company spokesman told The Gisborne Herald yesterday they had not received instructions from the district council to do it all again. The council has been approached by The Herald for a statement of intent around another clean-up.
