Mercantile badminton

The fourth night of BIZminton 2021 competition was held last Thursday and the organisers are not sure if it's the weather or “flu season” that caused issues with the draw. A thank-you goes to Team IFL, who brought along extra players to make up the numbers.

The closest tie of the night was between TeamIFL, who after a 3-3 draw won 134 points to 121.

Anaura 3 +1 continued their domination of their group.

The first rounds of the playoffs were held with Wananga Worx defeating WSP, and Slammers defeating A Team.

Eastland badminton business house league finishes tomorrow night.

The evening will conclude with supper, spot prizes and presentations.

Teams are asked to bring a couple of plates for supper.

Teams are reminded to bring their spot prize (to a value of $10) and to pay their entry fees if not already done.

Results from Thursday:

Team IFL defeated A Team: 3 matches all, 134 points to 121 points

Anaura 3 +1 defeated Mighty Masons: 6 matches to 0

GDC Smashers defeated A Team: 5 matches to 1
