Info still sought over Gisborne toddler’s death
THE police homicide investigation into the death of a Gisborne toddler earlier this month continues.
“There are no updates regarding this situation. Enquiries are ongoing,” police told The Herald yesterday.
The 19-month-old was taken to Gisborne Hospital with critical injuries on Thursday, January 6, and was subsequently flown to Starship Hospital, where the child died.
Police continue to investigate the nature and circumstances surrounding the toddler's injuries.
The incident happened at a house in Te Hapara.
