Caring green warriors

Letter

Our planet and her inhabitants are in need of our care. We are the instruments, the gardeners, the engineers, the hands.

We mindfully behave, trying to unwind the spring of violent, domineering aggressions.

We weld our truth with a heart.

We realise that our decisions contribute to outcomes.

We realise that to love one but not another speaks little of love.

May compassion be the guide.

We seek to the transformative and not reactive. We realise that sorrows are also part of life.

On our tramp through life, the speed of the party is the speed of the last person.

Jonathan Hansard

Tauranga

  1. Bob Hughes says:

Weld our truth with a heart? . . . our decisions contribute to outcomes? Well said.
Jonathan Hansard’s words of caring compassion and love remind me of St Francis of Assisi, “Make me an instrument of your peace prayer.”
Also, “Look deep into nature and then you will understand everything better.” – Albert Einstein.
And this from the famous Jane Goodall to finish, “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
