Waitangi-bred, two-tooth ewes sell for $221 a head

These 114 two-tooth ewes (pictured above) from Andrew Falloon on Waitangi Terrace Station sold for $221 a head at Friday's weekly Matawhero sheep sale.

They had been mated to a Romdale ram on March 5 and have been scanned at 171 percent. A second cut of 37 sold for $218. Store dry ewes sold from $182 down to $85, in a total yarding of around 1800 head.
