WORKING DOWNWIND

Rebecca Scragg from Wairoa and her dog Brook took on a windy, snowy, rainy, blustery zig zag hunt at the Tux South Island and New Zealand Championships near Gore on Tuesday. There was a strong showing from this region’s competitors with Leo Edginton winning the zig zag final and former Poverty Bay triallist Angus Spence and Brin placing third in the straight hunt. Merv Utting and Fern are still on the shorthead board. Picture by Donna Halley
