Confirmed Covid-19 case in Tairawhiti

A person from Tairāwhiti has been diagnosed with Covid-19. Laboratory test results came back yesterday evening.
"They are a Gisborne resident. The person has been in self-isolation and will remain in quarantine," a Hauora Tairawhiti statement said.
"Everyone the person has been in contact with since the person became infectious is now being followed up by local public health officials and Takatū Hub as contacts.
"There are no places of interest to announce at this stage.
"The genotyping for this case will come through in the next 48 hours.
"Further detail will be provided as it comes to hand."
Please tell me they have been double vaxed
It would be nice if the report mentioned if it is a single, double or unvaccinated person. Probably need to wait the 48-hour timeframe, and MOH need to be informed first… In the meantime, with double-vaccinnation rates in Te Tairawhiti at 89% fully-vaccinated (Stats at: https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/diseases-and-conditions/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-data-and-statistics/covid-19-vaccine-data#daily), Te Tairawhiti region is looking good. 🙂
What variant of covid is it please?
I didn’t see Gisborne on the Covid map on the TV one news.
What is the difference if they are vaxed or not? They can still spread it, just means they won’t get to sick, maybe
This is why we need to close the borders, block the gorges and stay home
