Pen and paper diplomacy
Imagine seven billion runners, or swimmers, each participating in the journey of their life. These athletes aren’t competitors or one against another. Each person is taking their own path and has their own obstacles, their own difficulties.
If we journeyed on a featureless road, a flat sea, there would be little to offer us depth and a sense of soul; material to help us grow.
As participants “together” we find things to interact about by the diversity we encounter. Each of us has an experience that is individual.
Friendship may be a great pearl to hold inwardly on that journey. The spirit of friendship could be regarded as the peacemaker.
Sometimes our hand of friendship ends up needing a muzzle. To become aware of that, and with a good night’s sleep, friendship may reign again.
