Pushing for a kinder, fairer Aotearoa
I felt it was overdue to share a few positive results due to Andrew Judd, who continues to “walk and talk towards A Kinder and Fairer Aotearoa NZ” in interviews, speeches and daily Facebook posts that share his kaupapa and that of many tangata whenua.
Three years ago I joined with walkers from Maraenui, Napier to walk with Andrew in his capacity as Mayor of New Plymouth in a peace hikoi to Parihaka that sought better race relations and an end to racism.
There were up to 1000 walkers in our hikoi when we arrived at Parihaka.
Following this significant hikoi, we have supported Andrew Judd on his continuing journey that includes daily Facebook posts.
There has been huge support since I suggested that when Andrew hits 1000 daily comments, sayings and photos on this kaupapa, he will be nominated for “New Zealander Of The Year”.
To follow this significant milestone, a further 1000 daily posts with korero from our community and he will be nominated for a Nobel peace award.
As of now, Andrew Judd has 476 daily posts towards his first nomination.
