Garden competition back
Last year's Lockdown Gardening Competition is back . . . minus the lockdown.
The launch of the 2021 competition is timed to coincide with Parks Week, which runs from March 6 to 14.
“The competition encourages people to engage with the outdoors and get among nature, and it was so popular last year we decided to run it again this year,” GDC recreation and amenity adviser Lindsay Weaver said.
“We're keen to keep the competition running and have increased the number of categories people can enter.”
Entries must be in by April 15, and can be sent via email, with photos attached, to email@example.com.
“We're looking for entrants from schools as well this year, and we're expecting to see some more innovative garden ideas, along with photos of flowers and vegetables,” Ms Weaver said.
A workshop with the Women's Native Tree Project, which is donating prizes, is planned.
