Two crashes in city
A woman in her early 60s suffered minor injuries in one of two vehicle crashes in Gisborne city yesterday.
The first happened at the Rutene Road-de Lautour Road roundabout just after 7am.
“A car rolled onto its side at the corner and the roundabout was partially blocked for a time,” a senior firefighter said. No one was hurt.
The second crash was at around 3.30pm at the corner of Roebuck Road and Aberdeen Road.
“Two cars collided at the intersection and the road was down to one lane until the crash scene was cleared.”
A 61-year-old woman in one of the vehicles was treated at the scene by St John ambulance staff and then transported to Gisborne Hospital for further treatment.
