Cattle sales back on
The first cattle fair since Covid-19 restrictions started went off well yesterday with some bargains to be had in the later pens.
Prices for some were down to $180 a head. All 2237 cattle sold.
The top dollar, $1230, was paid for some rising two-year-old steers from the Uttings in the Waimata Valley. Most of the cattle were weaners.
The top money was $875 for steers from Whangara and $665 for heifers from Tikitiki.
