Just 54 new Covid-19 cases in NZ today: The only Gisborne coronavirus patient discharged

A total of 54 Covid-19 new cases have been recorded in New Zealand since yesterday.

The new cases are made up of 32 confirmed cases and 22 probable cases. That was lower than the 67 new confirmed and probable cases recorded the day before.

It brings the total number of cases to 1160, with 241 people having recovered.

There were no new cases in Tairawhiti, which has recorded just one confirmed case since the start of the pandemic.

The one person diagnosed with COVID-19 in Tairawhiti was discharged from Gisborne Hospital yesterday afternoon, a Hauora Tairawhiti statement said today.

The statement added so far, a total of 254 COVID-19 tests have, been completed on people in Tairawhiti.
