The weather threatened to de-rail proceedings but the Poverty Bay Polo Open came to a successful conclusion at the Bushmere grounds over the weekend.
Poverty Bay B flew the home flag high, winning the low grade open round-robin.

FUN IN THE MUD: Just as the polo ground was beginning to deteriorate — raising safety concerns — the rain stopped and the sun broke through to dramatically improve conditions. But there was still plenty of mud and water around for the Coddington children — Sophia, Taylor and Luke — to have some slip-slide fun.
