What happened to Labour's promise to repair line?
The following could explain why the Labour Government has not gone ahead and kept its promise to repair our railway line.
1. Jacinda and Winston don’t seem to mind breaking their promises.
2. The Pike River mine re-entry fiasco where the Government has already doubled its cost estimate to $47m after achieving an entry of less than 300 metres. There is still over 2km to go.
3. Even if the railway line was repaired, Government-owned KiwiRail would not be able to supply suitable rolling stock wagons and only has antiquated railway engines.
