After 43 years of teaching English to students of GBHS and Campion College, I have finally retired. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those thousands of students, parents and teachers for providing me with an amazing opportunity to pursue such a career. I fondly remember days at The Rectory in the early 1980s, as well as coaching rugby and football at both schools, and being involved in drama productions at Campion for almost 20 years.
I really enjoyed being involved with so many people and am so grateful for the humour and relationships which made my life so worthwhile. I will always be indebted for being provided with such pleasant memories and the nickname Radar. This name has stayed with me ever since I was called Radar (from the TV series “Mash”) while doing teaching training in Auckland in 1977, and I identify more with this than my given name of Brett.
