Still feeling connected
Thoughts on Gisborne . . .
As an ex-resident who lived at Wainui Beach for 17 years, it was always the local newspaper that kept us up to date.
Now living in a huge city where news and journalists have different agendas and who come and go from occupations, it is still a pleasure to read the Herald.
Your consistent approach to the importance or local news and people means that those of us who read from afar still feel connected to the place.
Having taught in Gisborne for 14 years, I have many friends who still live in Tairawhiti. It will always be a part of me and my family.
Keep doing what you do so well. I will look forward to reading your news over this changing and challenging time.
