Gisborne Farmers' Market back in action

The queue stretched up Stout Street this morning as shoppers keen to enjoy the fruits — and vegetables — available at the Gisborne Farmers’ Market waited patiently to enter.

A one-way system was operating. The market has been on hold since the Covid-19 lockdown began at the end of March, although many of the suppliers took the opportunity to set up online.

On its first day back, the market and shoppers enjoyed a crisp, but clear late autumn day to re-acquaint themselves with their favourite stalls.
