SUNDAY, February 19Gisborne Canoe and Tramping Club trip to Young Nicks Head and Mapere Beach. The initial part of this walk is a very steep climb, then up and down along the steep cliff edge to the Te Kuri a Paoa trig (three hours with moderate fitness required). This is followed by a circuit walk on Maraetaha Station from Mapere Beach to Mapere Point and back along the clifftops, 2-3 hours, relatively easy). This can be two separate walks or one long one.
