Reducing Our Household Rubbish: The Zero Waste Approach, 6pm-8pm. Tairawhiti Environment Centre, 386 Palmerston Road. Tairawhiti Environment Centre and Gisborne District Council are pleased to host an evening talk on zero waste living in Gisborne. Hannah Blumhardt and Liam Prince, the no-waste nomads behind The Rubbish Trip, provide an introduction to the practicalities and philosophy of waste reduction. Drawing on their own research and over three years of experience living without producing waste, Hannah and Liam will guide you through life without a rubbish bin. Te Wherowhero Bio-blitz, time to be confirmed. Join a community effort to look after this precious estuarine lagoon. Now in its ninth year of a 10 year restoration programme.
