A little bit country

Their performance of Kostas Lazarides’ Timber, I’m Falling in Love, and Texan country musician Creed Fisher’s Come Hold Me, has won a Gisborne trio a first placing in this year’s New Zealand Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year Awards.

Under the banner The Nia Nias last year, the trio brought home the Pounamu Country Music Awards top trophy, which they won with their performance of Anne Murray’s 1971 song Cotton Jenny.
