Mind the GAPPS

Never mind your driftwood creatures with googly plastic eyes or macrame plant holders, the Gisborne Artist, Potters and Photographers Society annual exhibition is chokka with boundary-pushing works such as Julia Rae’s photographic composition Time Travel. “I think this is the strongest exhibition we’ve had,” says GAS president Norman Maclean. “The standard overall is very high. The range of genres and themes is so diverse.”

Gisborne Artists, Potters and Photographers Society’s annual exhibition opens at Tairawhiti Museum on Saturday and runs until November 10.
