Sure, they can check out any time they like — but they can never leave.

Eagles tribute act Motel California will realise this when they find themselves back at the Dome next week.

The band channels the distinctive California rock sound of the 70s through to the 2000s and performs the best of the Eagles hits in chronological order.

The band's keyboard player will even throw in snippets of the Eagles' history.

Each hit is faithfully re-created and there is no electronica, backing tracks, or taking it easy.

Motel California's audiences range in age from 20 to 70 something,” says the band's bass player Paul Merriott.

“They all know the lyrics to every song and have sung them and danced to them many times over.”

Mirrors on the ceiling, pink champagne on ice, The Eagles hits. You won't want to leave.
