Foton for farmers
Enterprise Foton has something specially geared to people of the land in its farm pack utility, offered to drivers who need to get into the back country.
The farm pack is based on Foton’s sturdy and reliable four-wheel-drive manual ute.
It includes a Brent Smith flatdeck, a towbar, a nudge bar, a lift kit, steel sump guard and mud tyres that will handle the roughest surface.
The farm pack ute has elevated ground clearance. It is the perfect working person’s ute.
It is worth remembering that it comes with all the attributes that have lifted the Chinese vehicle maker into the local scene.
That is based around the 2.8 litre turbocharged Cummins engine with maximum power of 130kW at 3600rpm and its wide flat torque of 365Nm between 1600 and 3200rpm.
The Foton has a payload, including occupants, fuel and fitted options, of 950kg and a braked towing capacity of 2.5 tonnes.
You get all that grunt for a fuel economy of 8.7 litres per 100km. It meets global emission standards.
Getting access to the Cummins engine was a real coup for Foton, which is the first company to offer it for a light commercial vehicle.
Then there are the Bosch electronics, Borg Warner transfer case, Dana axles and differentials. power side mirrors with integrated turning signals and front and rear mudguards.
The farm pack is offered at a special price of $36,289 plus GST and on-road costs.
Foton has a prepared demonstration vehicle, which means you can try it yourself instead of just listening to the praise Foton has been getting.
The Foton Tunland is the real deal, with everything you need.
