BEST OF BRITISH . . . CLOSE UP

A group of 120 vehicles involved in The Great British Car Rally rolled into Gisborne yesterday afternoon and rolled out again just before midday today, heading to Hawke’s Bay.

Former television presenter Mark Sainsbury was among participants, seen here behind the wheel of his 1971 Bentley Corniche Convertible, and with him Chris Harrington from the British High Commission. The vehicles were all parked up on the Rectory Field this morning where a formal mayoral welcome was held.
