Four seasons in one week

It has been a week of all seasons in this district, with an intense hail storm hitting some high areas on Tuesday.

Traffic was forced to a standstill on Traffords Hill at Matawai at about 4.30pm, with hail covering the ground and turning it into a winter wonderland for a short time. Yesterday it was back to summer temperatures again with a high of 18 degrees. Tomorrow the MetService predicts another clear sunny day with a high of 20 degrees.
